The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Alia the winner of March 18 governorship election held across the 23 local government areas of benue state.
State returning officer of the election Professor Farouk Kuta Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Technology Minna,, said Alia polled 473,973 to defeat his major rival Engr. Titus Uba.
Adamu Kuta said the peoples Democratic Party-PDP candidate Titus Uba scored 223,915 to come second while Rt. Heman Hembe Came Third.
