The Benue State Police has arrested five members of a syndicate headed by a notorious criminal Terhemen Mzaga, also known as “Fullfire,” in connection with the gruesome murder of innocent people in Akpuna community on July 21, 2023, in Ukum LGA.
The Police Public Relations Officer for Benue State, Superintendent of Police, Sewuese Anene, disclosed this in a statement.
According to Anene, the police also arrested one Sonter Felix Tyozughul in connection with the kidnapping of Dr. Asema Msuega, a resident doctor at General Hospital Ukum.
The police spokesperson added that the suspects arrested are: Odoonku Sunday Kusuv, Msughter Nyieyem, Terkaa Tayough, and Liambee Adeadegh, also known as Don-Konyo.
Weapons recovered from the suspects include nine (9) rounds of 7.62x39mm live ammunition.

ARREST OF SUSPECTED BANDITS/KIDNAPPERS.
As part of follow up on clampdown on bandits and their activities in Sankera axis of Benue state, officers of the Operation Zenda JTF trailed and arrested some members of a viscous syndicate led by one Anyogor Mnguor and Terhemen Mzaga also known as “Fullfire”.
This gang members specialise in kidnapping, attacking and killing members of the public. The most recent is the gruesome murder of innocent people at Akpuna community on 21/7/2023 in Ukum LGA.
During the Operation, the following suspects were arrested; Ordoonku Sunday Kusuv, Msughter Nyieyem, Terkaa Tayough and Liambee Adeadegh also known as Don-Konyo. Nine (9) rounds of 7.62x39mm live ammunition were recovered from them.
One Sonter Felix Tyozughul was also arrested in connection with the kidnap of Dr. Asema Msuega a resident doctor at General Hospital Ukum on 23/07/2023 who had been released. The suspect confessed to have been actively involved in the crime.
